Hey guys,

Firstly, sorry about the lack of updates and progress. Atrinik 4.0 is moving forward slowly, but most of the major changes are in place and generally speaking it's just the new Tutorial Island that needs to be finished.

The website and game servers have been moved to a new provider today, seemingly without a hitch. I will be monitoring the servers more closely over the following weeks to make sure there's no problems due to the move.

The move gives us the necessary infrastructure to support more game servers in the future if we need to, especially a game server located in Europe once we implement player data synchronization.

Additionally, I have a provisioned a new server specifically for Jenkins:

Jenkins gives us the ability to verify that everything builds OK and to run unit tests to verify that commits do not break existing functionality.

Happy to help. If you have any more issues feel free to post here, or visit the #atrinik channel on Freenode where you'll probably get help more swiftly.

Thank you for the response.  I actually came looking for it because at the time, the 3.0 client download was not working due to server errors and had hoped to get someone's attention.  I see though that's been fixed.

Thank you again for your time,

edit: Actually I do remember there being an issue with compiling the server on linux now ending cleanly and I was concerned.  Ran though fine.

Sorry for the late response. Yes, the Bugzilla installation disappeared during the server move some time ago, and since we abandoned using Bugzilla in general, I never actually set it up on the new server again (and have no plans in doing so, as it requires setting up Perl, installing all the necessary modules for Bugzilla, etc...).

If you *really* need some information from there, I can probably figure out how to dump the data from the backed up database into some sort of format...

Can't reach your bugzilla install:

Code: [Select]
rtorrent@vps3:~$ ping
ping: unknown host

I realize that the github is probably where most of the bug reporting is done but I do see some cross over from one to the other.

Heyy, as you've already been able to compile the client try this and compile it again:
Code: [Select]
git checkout tags/v3.0

This would explicitly switch to the version of the client that's compatible with the main server.

I just looked at the packages list from at, and ubuntu 12.04 (precise pangolin) does not seem to have a folder. I'm seeing ones for previous ubuntu versions but not 12.04 LTS.
