Seems to me the map music-changing bards are pretty much redundant now, with the new music player that shipped in 3.0. The music player is much more powerful for these things anyway. Thoughts?

Indeed, bards may go. Music Player is way more powerful.

Unless we give bards an interface that helps you create playlists (for the map the bard is on, or in general). What do you think of that?

Well, the music player already allows you to create a playlist... don't think per-map is very useful.

The favourites in the Music Player is indeed a useful feature. What I mean to say is, if we want to keep the bards they could provide a playlist unique to that map (e.g. luxury house music, tavern music, guild hall music, etc..)
