So currently, the only effect Charisma has in-game is on the price of items sold in shops (or when the shop is purchasing items from you).

Ideally, charisma should have an effect on the price of all services, e.g., priest, smith, post office, apartment dude, etc.

Charisma isn't just physical beauty.

German sociologist Max Weber defined charisma as:

...a certain quality of an individual personality by virtue of which he is set apart from ordinary men and treated as endowed with supernatural, superhuman, or at least specifically exceptional powers or qualities. These are such as are not accessible to the ordinary person, but are regarded as of divine origin or as exemplary, and on the basis of them the individual concerned is treated as a leader.

and its dictionary definition is:

S: (n) charisma, personal appeal, personal magnetism (a personal attractiveness or interestingness that enables you to influence others)

and Wikipedia has its etymology as:

The English charisma is from the Greek χαρισμα, which means "grace or favor." The term derives from χαρις (charis), which means "grace." Derivatives from that root mean "filled with attractiveness or charm," "kindness," "to bestow a favor or service," or "to be favored or blessed."[3] In short, χαρισμα, its root χαρις, and the root's derivatives have meanings similar to the modern sense of personality charisma. So based on the definition and etymology of the word alone, it would be quite acceptable for one with a higher charisma power to have greater influence over others that would allow them to receive favors, such as discounts for services and goods, or increases in money received when selling an item.

Speak for yourself NiteStar.  I prefer to "flash a leg", for example and find that can help to persuade a saleman that perhaps I deserve a good deal - you on the other hand may possibly cause panic by flashing one of your legs!
