Hi gang
After being blasted several times in close succession by runes of fire (carried by ice mobs !!!!), I decided to try looking for them before opening the corpse - fire hurts quite badly when you aren't protected against it! (I know I will have to disarm any traps discovered btw)
So I created a macro /use_skill detect traps
Funny - when I pressed the macro key over a corpse there was no message ???
Oh silly me! - I changed the macro to /use_skill find traps
Then I started to get messages that I couldn't detect any traps ??? I was finding them - not detecting them !!!
Maybe either the message or skill name ought to be changed, or even better both names for the skill should be recognised perhaps?
Also, may I suggest that /use_skill blah blah gives a message either "you do not know the skill blah blah", or possibly "there is no skill blah blah"?
Love Floozy
<edit> p.s. Yippee it now works and I got the message "you spot a rune of fire" - does that mean /use_skill spot traps should also be recognised ??? J/K </edit>

BTW & this is somewhat off-topic but not really, you do realize that the "/use_skill find traps" command has to be issued, in some instances, up to 30 times before it'll find the trap (b/c Cleo is a meanie!)? This is why I have the command macro'd 10x to one key, so I just press that key 3 times and get 30 "find traps" commands sent to the server.

I turn repeat on for my "/use_skill find traps" macro key - which is similar! I press it once then if it tells me there are signs of a trap I just hold the key down until the trap is identified - I must add tips like that to the guide one day.

Right but my point is that the first "Trap Detected" message may not come up the first 10-20 times that you search for traps, as per Cleo the Meanie's design....

As long as the trap's level is not much higher than your AG level (up to *1.8 ), you will get a message "You detect trap signs!" even the first time you search...

But if it's not, you won't, right? And you changed that behaviour, then.... :p
