I've added Atrinik to the list of open source video games maintained at Wikipedia:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_open-source_video_games

Would be nice if someone who knows Wikipedia a bit better creates a page about Atrinik for there ... the Wiki code is a bit foreign to me and my concentration isn't good enough right now for me to be able to learn it.

Thanks!

PS, I noted some other game that was *not* listed there....

Wikipedia editors have a strong hatred towards Daimonin (perhaps because it's not FOSS, but claims to be).

Well let's see if the edit I made to include Atrinik stays ... Atrinik is FOSS, isn't it? BTW did I make the entry correctly, that is both server & content are licensed under the GPL, or is it just server and content is copyrighted (or copylefted)?

This is the reason it's been removed:

(rm atrinik; no article or independent verification)

Grrrr so the article has to be created first. Very annoying! >.<

not sure what they mean about independent verification ...

You'd have more success at gaming.wikia.com.
I have far better experiences with that than with the mediawiki project.

Well really, all that needs to be done is to have someone create a page for Wikipedia, and then it should all be OK & I can re-add it to the list ...

Am thinking, maybe take the Crossfire page and modify it. I'll see how difficult it is, but in a bit of time ... will be busy w/ family the next few days and such ....

Don't bother.
Wikipedia doesn't want articles on games like Atrinik. Don't ask me why.
Try your luck on wikia. You'd have a better public too.
