Couldn't find a spot to discuss the web site in the forums so I'm posting this here.
Is there a method to set one's preferences in the forums? For instance, I'd like to have, by default, "notify me of replies" selected, so this way I don't have to click on "Additional Options" and then "Notify me of replies."
Also, prefs should be able to save sigs, etc.
Thanks!

To the top you can find the "
Profile
" menu.
Select "
Notifications and Email
" and tick the box for "
Turn notification on when you post or reply to a topic.
"
Then select "
Forum Profile Information
" from the "
Modify Profile
" menu to the left to change your signature.

OK well for whatever reason before I posted my first response, I was only getting the options under "Profile | Modify Profile" for:
Account Related Settings
Personal Message Options
The other four options weren't showing up, for whatever reason.

That's anti spam prevention: you need to make a few posts before you can edit all of your profile.

Ah, I forgot about that. That was changed half a year ago IIRC.
We had a heavy load of bots back then, only setting their website URL.

And sometimes the signature too if I recall correctly.

True, I think they'll soon find out about Dai's status messages too
Which would require a nice hack...

OK I figured it was some kind of anti-noob measure or something like that.
Not quite certain what you mean about Dai, though....?

New Issue:
When posting a message or response in the forums, and also when composing a PM (for the matter, when creating any sort of content on the web), there should be an option to "CANCEL"
I accidentally clicked on "reply" to a post and didn't see any way to cancel. Just save, preview, or spell check. Had to end up closing the tab to get out of it.

What about pressing the previous page button in your browser? 'Worksforme' Cleo would say. However, a history-1 button shouldn't be too hard. And I'm not Cleo

Oh, hadn't thought about that. But really, most people expect a "cancel" button when they're doing something on-line, especially when writing something. Hell, even Gmail has one ("Discard").

Then I guess the code should be edited.
Still up to Cleo though, for he maintains the site.
