So I've finally installed the client & started playing ...

On install though, the shortcuts/program files don't have icons. It's nothing major but just a small annoyance. I hate that default icon thingy in Windows.

This is on WinXP Pro SP3 ...

It seems to work for me. Could you specify which client you installed? (a download link should do)

DL'd the client from the web. :)

Also tried reinstalling; icon is still missing :(

Is this the atrinik.exe file you're talking about? Or the icon in start menu? What about the icon on top of the client?

Not sure what you mean by the icon on top of the client? But other than that, it's both. No icon appears anywhere for Atrinik.exe or any shortcuts created by the installer....

For windows, there should be a .ico file. The links use that AFAIK.

It needs a change in the installer script.
Might be possible to have that for the minor client update.

Not necessarily ...

Actually, if you go to the properties of the shortcut you can change the icon and choose a file (usually .exe or .dll if .ico isn't available) that has the icon graphics info in it, and that should work but the system isn't finding any icon info in the atrinik.exe file. :(

Is that Lippy's domain, creating the Windows installer? So the thing is though, what should the .ico file graphic be?
